Munich, October 10, 2023 - Michael Götz is "CMO of the Year" 2023 - this was decided by the 21-member "CMO of the Year" jury, made up of members of the "CMO of the Year" Council and selected marketing and media experts from publishing, TV, universities and agencies. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the award, the jury was won over by Götz, a CMO who since 2017 has managed to turn the frozen pizza manufacturer Gustavo Gusto into a truly successful brand with courage and entrepreneurial thinking.
As part of the glamorous CMO Award Night 2023, the tenth most successful marketing decision-maker of the year was honored at Munich's Haus der Kunst (Prinzregentenstraße 1, 80538 Munich) with top-class guests, an inspiring keynote speech by publisher and bestselling author Dr. Florian Langenscheidt, good conversations and the best celebratory mood.
The nomination of potential candidates and the shortlisting of the finalists for the CMO of the Year Award are carried out by the CMO of the Year Council. It is made up of over 90 Chief Marketing Officers from renowned German companies from the D-A-CH region and assess the potential award winners based on the aforementioned criteria. The prestige and prominence of the CMO of the Year distinction come from the fact that the members of the CMO Council bring not only their expertise to the table, but also their many years of industry experience.
The finalists are then discussed and evaluated by the equally represented, neutral jury. Forming the basis of their decision are the dossiers created by theUniversity of St Gallen, Switzerland.
